Rydic Coldfall "Escape Artist, Magician" Basic Information Race: Human Birthday & Age : Winter 33, 493, 17 Years of Age Gender: Male Physical Description Rydic is a mostly average looking individual. He is slightly taller then average, being 6'2. However he is a normal weight for his height, 163 pounds, and is not very muscular. His deep brown eyes resemble the color of a tree trunk, deep in a forest where light seldom hits the base. Accompanied by his long, dirty blonde hair that extendes just past the shoulders, and is almost always flowing around randomly with the wind. His head and face are both sharp, and he looks older then his age due to this. Rydic could be considered attractive, but he would often deny it, and is not into the dating scene at this point of his life. Rydic's signiture is his magician's hat, that he is wearing ninety percent of the time that he is awake. It is a simple black hat with a brim, that is laced with zebra print felt. His favorite outfit, which he wears on as many occasions as he can, consists of a long purple overcoat, skin tight black jeans, and a plain white undershirt. Rydic feels as though this outfit makes him look like a magician, which is his life goal. Character Concept Rydic has an explosive personality. Most of his problems stem from this alone. He is extremely hyper, and almost always has to be doing or thinking something. Rydic often likes to put on shows of illusianary magic on the streets. He tends to think of himself as fearless, and tells people as such. However Rydic is very fearful of many things, especially the Dhani. Snakes in general give him the creeps, but the ones who can trick his mind into thinking that they are human are worse. Rydic can be cocky at times, and often gives himself credit for more then he can do. Rydic isn't very in to the whole love game, he finds it a waste of time, everything he can get through love is trivial in his eyes. The only love he's ever felt was for his parents, and a friendly love to those he befriends. Most of his emotions towards other people are respect, he feels as though the older you get the more respect you deserve. Rydic also has a high respect for people who speak there minds regardless of the consequences. He is one of those people, and has gotten himself into trouble this way numerous times. Character History At the age of six years old, Rydic and his parents, Selena and Godfrey took him to a shop just south of where they lived, where an illusionist from south Syliras put on a small show. He saw the man do many tricks, from making cards disappear into what seemed to be thin air, to cutting a girl in half through a box. Rydic was amazed, he couldn't believe what he saw, yet it was all so real! It was at this point that his life goal was set. He would become one of those men, illusionists they were called, and he was set on it. The moment they got home from the show, Rydic went upstairs in his room and found a set of playing cards, where he sat for hours on end trying to figure out something to do with them that seemed magical. After about three hours of failed attempts, he gave up for the night and went to sleep. During the night, he came up with the most brilliant ideas that he would be sure to test out as soon as he woke up. When he woke up he set to work, only to find that he couldn't remember any of the ideas. It frusterated him to a point of rage. He through the cards at the wall and ran down stairs to his parents. Rydic asked his parents hundreds of questions about the magic man, none of which they could answer of course, so he made them promise that the next time the guy was around they'd let him know so he could ask him questions himself, and for awhile, Rydic forgot about it altogether. He spent the next couple of weeks playing regular games with his friends in the streets, since it was summer there was no need for schooling, and he was having a blast! One the games the kids loved to play was to sneak out in the forest and look for random wildlife and try to catch it! Seldom did they ever get even close. Once Rydic got within inches of catching an odd looking creature with only three legs that hopped around awkwardly, but right when he got up to it, the thing kicked dust in his face an ran away. A couple of weeks later, Rydics parents told him that the magician was coming back into the same place for another show, immediately Rydic got excited about it and dashed to get ready and go. After a grueling hour of waiting, the show finally started. Many of the tricks were the same however, and Rydic was quite disappointed. After everything was done however, he approached the man in quiet as he was packing up. After getting up the courage to ask for help in his own pursuits, Rydic was denied harshly, told that he was to young and him ambitions were impossible. Rydic was upset, but it fired the desire in his heart to really try, and prove the illusionist wrong some day. Over the next four years, Rydic practiced hard at his magic skills, and even tried to learn some real reimancy, but he couldn't understand reimancy, and it frusterated him, so he stopped. However his illusions were starting to get good, he made a few tricks that even fooled his parents! He was extremely proud of himself and wanted to put his own show on the streets, but even though he was young, he knew it'd be foolish, he didn't know enough yet for that. So he continued to learn new things, and continued to do ten year old things with his friends. Now at the age of 17, still living with his parents, he hardly sees them, for most of the time he is out and about doing things that even he doesn't know most of the time. He only ever comes home at nights, and since his parents both work night shift, there is a very small window of time that they are around. He has become very good at his illusions and has mastered quite a few. Also, somewhere along the way he picked up a knack for morphing and has been practicing a small amount of that on the side. He now often plays shows on the side of the road in hopes of money, and still goes out with friends almost every night, which is where, our story begins.
